The Faust ASP repealed and updated the original Area Structure Plan that was adopted in 2005. The intent behind this project was to review the ASP against the County's newly updated Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw to ensure its conformance. The Hamlet of Faust was once a commercial hub for northern Alberta that declined as neighbouring communities attracted businesses with their prospering industries. Today, Faust is a small community with a growing tourist population, attracted to the community's strong history, natural environmental, and natural landscape.
