Maple Road

Transportation Planning, Transportation Infrastructure Design

The project included the first two lanes of a four-lane arterial road as well as a creek crossing for Fulton Creek. The road stretches approximately 890m from Fulton Creek to 34th Avenue (future 23rd Avenue), to facilitate the development of the Maple neighbourhood. The design and construction of the road faced significant challenges due to the creek crossing, Transportation & Utility Corridor to the east, and the CN Rail right-of-way to the west. The construction of the road and underground utilities were split into three phases: Maple Stage 8, Maple Stage 10, and Maple Stage 11.
