The Midtown development in St. Albert is set to evolve into a distinctive urban community with a focus on fostering an environment for aging in place, offering diverse lifestyle options and housing products. The neighbourhood covers a vast 225-acre site, and presents a wide array of housing typologies, catering to various styles and price points, designed to attract a diverse range of demographics. Upon completion, the development is expected to be home to a vibrant population of approximately 2,400 people.

Stage 1 has been completed up to date, encompassing 2 ha of land and about 85 dwellings. Midtown Stage 1 offers 7 different housing typologies to provide a range of styles and housing price points to attract different demographics. The design is community-focused, fostering interaction and enriching the lives of the residents.

Invistec oversaw the amendments to the South Riel Area Structure Plan, as well as prepared the Midtown District unique to this community.
