Clarence Wong

Clarence was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and is a professional engineer with APEGA. He holds a BSC in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering Degree in Construction Management from the University of Alberta. His experience includes a 20-year engineering and leadership career that has spanned consulting and public service at both the Provincial and Municipal levels, and includes everything from business strategy and planning through to operations.

Prior to joining Invistec, Clarence spent the last 13 years at the City of Edmonton, most recently in the role of Director of Subdivision and Development Coordination, where he is known as a well respected leader with a proven ability in balancing the needs of municipal administration, development industry, and various stakeholders.  In this role, he was instrumental in fostering partnerships with the development industry to create communities in support of the City's growth strategies, which included facilitating over $2 billion of development during his tenure.

His career journey has also provided stops in Transportation Planning, City Planning (supporting the development and implementation of Edmonton's City Plan), tendering and consultant selection for municipal and provincial projects, construction administration and roadway operations.

Clarence joined Invistec for the opportunity to work alongside a highly engaged and skilled team. With this caliber of team, he looks forward  to continuing to create communities that reflect what municipalities and residents value now and into the future, while providing value and confidence to clients. Clarence enjoys spending downtime with his family. He is also a lifelong fitness enthusiast and is a part time fitness instructor.
