Fabio Coppola
Fabio joined Invistec in 2019 after his graduation from the University of Calgary's Faculty of Environmental Design Master of Planning (MPlan) program. During his time in the MPlan program, Fabio earned two letters of commendation for outstanding academic performance and was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Planning History & Theory. Prior to completing his Master's at the University of Calgary, Fabio completed a B.A., Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Lethbridge. During this period, he gained valuable experience working for both Lethbridge County as a co-op student in Economic Development, as well as a full summer internship with the Town of Okotoks in Planning & Economic Development. These experiences aided Fabio’s interest in land development, local government, as well as people. Upon graduation from the University of Lethbridge he went on to work as a land analyst for a Calgary based real-estate acquisitions and dispositions firm for nearly two years, which provided him with further hands on experience on how to ascertain valuable investment land for future development. Now as a Planner at Invistec, Fabio is focused on contributing to the company's vision through his professional interests of neighbourhood planning, policy writing and research.
In his spare time, Fabio enjoys staying active through various workout routines and golfing with friends. Fabio has several published articles (both academic and professional in nature), and is a former Alberta Junior Hockey league player with the Brooks Bandits and Calgary Mustangs.
