Regan Flavelle

Since joining Invistec after graduating from NAIT's LAT program in 2021, Regan has quickly become an integral part of the Landscape Architecture team. With 3 years of experience in land development, 5 years in engineering, and a genuine passion for design, he brings a unique blend of practicality and technical expertise to his creative work. As a proud member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Regan carries a deep sense of responsibility to the land, drawing on his heritage, stewardship, and a strong connection to place in all of his designs. At the heart of his approach is a commitment to care in everything he does.

Although still early in his career, Regan has taken full advantage of every opportunity for growth. During his diploma studies, he gained recognition in the 2021 CISCO Systems Canada Architectural Design Competition for his innovative integration of energy systems, outdoor living spaces, and low-impact development (LID) solutions in residential projects. In 2022, he contributed a thought-provoking piece to the AALA’s Annual publication, exploring how cultural memory can—and should—shape design. By 2023, just two years after graduating, Regan returned to NAIT as a sessional instructor, sharing his enthusiasm and expertise with the next generation of design professionals. His pursuit of excellence is driven by a deep curiosity, always seeking better ways to solve challenges and improve outcomes. This curiosity has become a cornerstone of his professional practice, shaping both his individual contributions and the high standards he fosters within his team.

Outside of work, Regan’s interests are as varied as his professional pursuits. He has a deep appreciation for craft beer, a passion for urban design and environmental psychology, and enjoys experimenting with clothing and fabric design. These creative outlets reflect his belief in the power of thoughtful design to enhance both personal and communal experiences, whether through urban spaces or everyday items.
