Capital Health South Campus has provided the interesting opportunity to design with the future in mind, as an onsite nursery was developed with the intention of relocating tree species for use in later associated developments. The entire southern edge of the building was densely planted to provide a gentle welcome to the facility from the nearby transit hub, and an adjacent meadow swale was used to discretely channel runoff. The north side consists primarily of furnishings and detailing a welcoming streetscape situated between two large developments and a substantial parking lot.
